No One Cares?!

 

I Peter 5:7

 

 

I.                     Myth or reality?

a.      Sir I have no man John 5:7

b.      Looking on every side to see if anyone cares Psalms 142:4

c.      Am I an accident—a product of evolution?

d.      Did God just create the world and spin it off and leave it to itself?

                                                              i.      So many tragedies

                                                            ii.      Marriage and life didn’t work out like you expected

e.      Is every man an island?

                                                              i.      Does my wife really love me?

                                                            ii.      Do my parents love me?

                                                          iii.      Do my children love me?

                                                           iv.      Families spread out and disconnected

                                                             v.      Everyone is too busy

f.        Everyone is just looking out for number 1!

g.      Religion seems to take advantage of people

h.      Everybody says that they care but you don’t see the actions

i.        Is it all a facade?

                                                              i.      Happy home and family

                                                            ii.      Good job

                                                          iii.      Good house and car

                                                           iv.      Drug addiction

                                                             v.      Dining room table with family tree

II.                   God loves first

a.      Man has chosen to live life his way

b.      God did not abandon man or the world

c.      He first loved us I John 4:19

d.      He loves unconditionally Romans 5:8

e.      He invites you to come Matthew 11:28-30

f.        He knows what you need and desires to add those things to you Matthew 6

 

III.                  What do I have to do to receive this love

a.      Be honest about your need

b.      Believe that he really exists and can make a difference Hebrews 11:6

c.      Humble yourself enough to ask for help

d.      Believe enough to cast your cares and anxieties on Him I Peter 5:7—this is done through prayer

e.      Believe the Word of God enough to trust him to care
