II.                He served the Lord 20:19

                                                 i.     Someone who is owned by another

                                                ii.     Someone who does not have power over their own life

                                              iii.     Someone who does not make their own decisions

                                             iv.     The unprofitable servant Luke 17:7-10

b.     Withhumility—doing the will of God from the heart Ephesians 6:6

c.      Withtears or compassion Hebrews 5:2

d.     Withtemptations or much opposition—the Jews, no one said that it was easy—He came tobring a sword

 

III.             He taught them

a.     All thatwas profitable 20:20

                                                 i.     Publicly 

                                                ii.     Privately

b.     Withoutregard to race 21

                                                 i.     They were to show repentance toward God 17:30,26:20, II Corinthians 7:10

                                                ii.     Faith toward Jesus Christ 13:38-39, Galatians 2:16

c.      Thewhole counsel of God 27

 

IV.             He showed them 

a.     Moneywas never his goal 20:33

b.     He waswilling to work hard 20:34

c.      He wasthere to help not be helped 20:35

d.     He wouldrather give than get 20:35, II Corinthians 8:9
